First of all, it is important to note that support for Drupal 8 and Drupal 9 has ended. Many people do not realize it yet, but support for Drupal 9 has officially stopped on November 1, 2023. This means that regular security updates will no longer be made available for Drupal 8 and 9. It is adviced to migrate those websites to Drupal 10.

For customers who run a Drupal 8/9 website, we can perform an analysis: We then check whether the migration from Drupal 8/9 to Drupal 10 is easy. In general: If there is not too much complexity, and if the website is built by a professional Drupal developer, then the migration will be possible. Websites that are currently running on a recent Drupal version will almost always be able to migrate, but adjustments are always required to the code and the server: For example, it is often necessary to upgrade the PHP and Drush versions. It may also be necessary to address the method of email sending, for example, because Drupal 10 no longer supports some older Drupal modules due to security risks.
